Package Delivery … website doesn’t function

We’ve had a problem lately with package delivery. Some packages require a person to be home (mid morning weekdays).if no one home Carriers leave a note with option to authorize delivery via a website. But website does not work. This this the second package recently that we’ve encountered that.

Stinky

I went in to change my address on the lady that helped me had a little bit of an attitude, but worse than that, she had the breath of ancient poop and tonsillitis. Absolutely disgusting and makes me want to find a new post office.

Why was there no mail delivery today (9/6) to me or any of my neighbors? Many of us, including me, had several pieces waiting to be picked up. Yesterday was a holiday, but not today. Address: 330 Trescony St., SC 95060

I live in Santa Cruz and haven't received my mail in days, which is very unusual. I have also have mail stolen out from the front of my house because for some reason my delivery guy leaves the mail on the top of my fence. Is there something I can do? or someone I can call to see where my mail is?

I live on Roosevelt Terrace and I just found out our regular carrier, Jose is being transferred to other part of Santa Cruz. We have had the pleasure of having Jose as postal carrier for several years and he will be missed. He is a conscientious, professional worker and pleasant man.It is always noticeable when he is not the carrier as service deteriorates. Jose is very much “old school” in that he knows the people on his route. Why he is being transferred is beyond me. Thank you Jose for all your hard work and I hope your employer knows how lucky they are to have such a good employee as yourself.

The apartment complex I live at has had numerous packages stolen from the lobby. This is an open lobby with traffic coming & going all day. We would appreciate the packages being delivered to our door, every time instead of only a handful of caring employee’s that give a sh*t

Can we please get information on when the back mail that was not delivered will be delivered? What can we expect in the future for our mail delivery? Is there a way to pick up all the mail that has not been delivered to me?

I am so frustrated with my mail delivery!! I live on the Westside and haven't received my mail for 1 week now, except for this past Wednesday at 6:30 in the morning!! In that delivery was a bill that I missed the due date on because of mail not being delivered on time. I am also frustrated when I call the Post Office because the phone rings for about 20 times then, I get a "hang up"!! Mail doesn't get picked up either and I have to go to the Post Office. I am 80 years of age!!!!!!!

Is it possible to post days when there will be no mail delivery or a number one could call for updates? I know you are overwhelmed and facing all kinds of challenges, but I’ve had mail in my mailbox for pickup for 3 days and no mail delivered for 3 days with no way to know why

No mail for three days in 95060. Packages marked delivered and are not. Anyone want to file a RICO case against the Santa Cruz Front St Post Office?EPIC FAILURE by the Post Master. Should be fired for gross negligence.

I’ve got the same situation here. A package showed it was out for delivery and also delivered on Dec.10th but I still haven’t received it. I even tried calling the post office only to get a busy signal all day. Must have phones off the hook. So I went down in person and the lady at the desk told me they have packages stacked to the ceiling and that she was just unable to look for my package because there’d be no way to find it and that I should wait for it to be delivered and that I should have it by Friday. This is unacceptable. It was supposedly “delivered” a week ago. Tracking hasn’t updated since.

What happened to our mail delivery on Gross Road and South Rodeo Gulch Road!?!My husband has been trying to mail a letter now for a week with the flag up on the mailbox, it has correct postage and it’s not getting picked up. Our neighbors aren’t getting their mail either. We had a great mail carrier for a while and now it’s a crap shoot. *Sigh*

The USPS management is horrible

-1

Same here. As someone who has inner experience with the workings of the whole greater Santa Cruz county USPS offices...that is every office from Saratoga to Salinas, I can tell you this; I’ve never in my life seen a more flawed and broken, horribly managed, terribly run business in my life. Little secret- the management will actually tell the carriers to illegally scan your package as delivered after a certain time at night, even if it isn’t. They do this so to avoid they themselves the managers from getting in any trouble for a late or missed delivery. Obviously in a system like that, there is no accountability where it counts and that won’t work. If I ever have the choice, I will always use UPS. They are cheaper and so much better organized and better service. The postal service is sick joke of an establishment. I am saying this with almost a decade of inner experience.

Packages marked as delivered when actually not so.

I do not receive packages when marked "Delivered " by USPS. Impossible to track with website. It has been three days and still no packages have been delivered. Why does this continue to happen in 95065 zip code (often supposedly delivered on Sundays.) Annoying and sometimes packages are just sent back to original source without an explanation.

USPS Deserves Closure

Repeatedly leaves notices saying unable to deliver as I was not at home but I was all day long. Why lie like that? Last time I called your boss about your lies and he had you come back and hand deliver it to my door with an apology. Now only a few weeks later it has happened again so I am posting it as an online review as you conveniently leave your mailbox messages after the office phone lines are closed for the day. Nice, now I have to deal with this in the morning. You keep being too lazy to deliver packages then lie about it, isn't that your job? No wonder your company is about to die, it is a dinosaur.

I find is quite odd on the days when I put mail in box to be picked up, 3 times now, it never gets taken. This Is VERY inconvenient if you can't get out to mail. What if you are sick or a senior? Never had this issue a year or so ago. Too difficult to walk a few extra steps?

2 weeks ago supposedly the mail carrier broke the key in the lock of our apartment building on Pacific Ave, and we had no mail for over a week. This week, no delivery this Saturday for my regular fin publication delivery. Now Monday delivery is over, and still no publication delivery or prescription from Kaiser that should have been here...What are you guys doing???

Well by the looks of all the comments looks like I should just take a number and stand in line with my complaint...no service yesterday at my home on the upper westside, off Nobel Dr. My husband had left 2 bills (he is too paranoid to do online billing) to be picked up and this am they are still there in an empty mailbox. This would be an issue had we required a specific postmark date. Gone are the days when the Santa Cruz branch of the USPS was reliable.

I'm having the same issue. We went in during semester break, the one day when the public schools are closed that's not a Federal holiday. But inexplicably, the passport office had a sign that said closed. We'll be gone for spring break and the summer is too late. Is it not possible to cross-train postal employees in passport processing? I've been involved with groups that are trying to keep USPS going, through postal banking or resolving the 75-yr pension fund issue. But my own experience is that the customer service is variable and the organization as a whole doesn't try very hard to accommodate working or school schedules. I'm going to try today and see if maybe they take next week for President's day.

I just went to the Santa Cruz main postoffice after lunch hour and the passport section was closed by12:00 noon, not 4pm. :-( How can my high school kid can renew his passport without missing some classes? Renewal by mail isn't an option for him since old passport was issue when he was younger than 15.
