Finding a Sussur Bloom and Sussur Tree in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a painful task. To make things easy, you can find both a Sussur Bloom and a Sussur Tree in the Underdark.

If you chose the Underdark route to the Moonrise Towers, you may have already stumbled across the area you’re looking for. But those who stayed above ground have plenty of adventuring ahead of them.

What is a Sussur Bloom in BG3?

A Sussur Tree in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a glowing blue tree that grows Sussur Blooms. The Sussur Bloom is a rare blue flower that engulfs the area in an Antimagic Field that nullifies nearby magic. It is an ingredient that can be consumed for restoring HP and used to interact with the environment to present extra lore. If exposed to sunlight, the bloom will eventually fade away.

The quest called Finish the Masterwork Weapon tasks you with finding Sussur Bark, a quest item, which is also found on the Sussur Tree. It is a crafting component that is required to complete the quest and therefore, you need to venture into the Underdark.

Where to find a Sussur Tree in BG3?

The Sussur Tree can only be found in the Underdark, which is one of the ways you can reach the Moonrise Temple. It is a massive tree covered in Sussur Blooms. There are several ways to access the Underdark, including the Defiled Temple.

Here is how to reach the Sussur Tree:

1. Go to the Underdark: You can access the Underdark in many ways, but we recommend going through the Defiled Temple.
2. Going through the Defiled Temple, you’ll come out at the Selunite Outpost.
3. From there, head north until you reached a ruined town, then head west.
4. You’ll likely pass through the Myconid Colony, another Waypoint to unlock.
5. Make your way to the Sussur Tree Waypoint on the western side of the map shown in the screenshot above. The specific coordinates for the Sussur Tree Waypoint are X: -49, Y: -138.
6. Once you reach this waypoint, head directly to these coordinates to find the Sussur Tree: X: -14 Y: -138.

Where to find Sussur Blooms in BG3?

There are two known locations for the Sussur Bloom listed below:

• Sussur Tree: The Sussur Tree is littered with Sussur Blooms. Pick them up with the intent of leaving soon since you will not be able to use magic if you encounter Hook Horrors, the nasty creatures that call the Sussur Tree home.
• The Arcane Tower Garden: The Arcane Tower is one of the main areas in the Underdark. The Arcane Tower is rich with mysteries and Lore, but one reason to go is to find Sussur Blooms. The Arcane Tower Garden is exactly located at these coordinates: X:-63, Y:-295.

What is a Sussur Bloom used for in BG3?

Sussur Blooms have many uses.

• They can be consumed to restore HP
• Nullify magic.
• As an ingredient.

The main reason to use a Sussur Bloom, however, is to power down the Arcane Turrets found within the Arcane Tower by dropping one on the floor nearby. Another reason is to power down Bernard, the robot construct found on the roof of the Arcane Tower.

How to get Sussur Bark in BG3?

For the quest, Finish the Masterwork Weapon, you will need Sussur Bark to complete the weapon. You’ll then have to make your way to the center of the Sussur Tree, which may involve killing a few Hooked Horrors and other enemies along the way.

From the Sussur Tree Waypoint:

1. Go right and climb the rocks to find a small camp that you can loot for some supplies.
2. Head onto the branches of the giant tree—be wary of the Blooms, which silence you and prevent spell casting.
3. Follow the branch until you reach the center of the tree and hold Alt to see the Sussur Bark, which will be outlined in orange. The exact coordinates are X: -14 Y:-139.
